Originally hailing from Norway and currently residing in Brighton, DJ and Producer Koian otherwise known as Andreas Gresvik has been shaking things up of late with his uplifting productions front heavy bass lines mashed up with big beats, glitchy hip hop, reggae and breakbeat.
He is now a fully fledged member of Mutate Records which thankfully has given him an opportunity to showcase his skills to a wider audience, which in turn garner him a larger appreciation.
If this mix is anything to go by the appreciation he might be getting is richly deserved. This was perhaps the most enjoyable 25minutes I have spent listening to music in recent times. If the tracks featured in this selection just stood in the mix as the originals it would be a banging set, instead every track has been remixed, re-edited, re-structured providing a set that goes off like fireworks on bonfire night!
